The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the very word of God, and as such are to be revered and obeyed as the supreme authority over all things. The Bible is God's special revelation to humanity that teaches how we were created in perfection, sinned and rebelled against our Creator, may be redeemed and restored to fellowship with Him, and may live a life of loving gratitude.
The gift of salvation can only be received by faith. A true, saving faith will manifest itself in the life of a believer through sincere love, obedience, and gratitude to God (Romans 1:17).
We can do nothing to earn the favor of God or satisfy one bit of His just wrath for our sin. Salvation in Jesus Christ is an undeserved gift that is given by the grace of God alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Jesus is the promised Christ, or Messiah, of the Old Testament. He is both fully God and fully man, and as such was able to bear the wrath of God for humanity's sin with His death on the cross. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and He freely imputes His righteousness to cover the sins of whosoever will believe in Him (John 3:16).
God is the almighty, all-knowing, all-present Creator of all things. All that we have, including our very lives, and all that we are able to do are gracious gifts from God. Therefore, He alone is worthy of our worship and praise, and all of the glory is His.
Grace to you and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
